the value of a fertile Earth
There was a time when Roman garrisons stood guard over areas considered strategic to the survival of the population. The aqueduct built from Mount Vesole to bring spring water to the city of Paestum was guarded day and night to prevent its tampering by miscreants.

appreciation for ancient Knowledge
It was the Greeks who, following their expansions, introduced the best vines to Italy. Greek, aglianico (from hellenico), malvasia... found in the then Magna Graecia more fertile soil on which to grow and were processed with more refined methods. Wine was consumed mixed with water in varying portions.

the importance of the Scents of the past
This land, bountiful with the most precious water, abundantly supplied the city sacred to Poseidon to quench the thirst of its inhabitants and allow the cultivation of the prized Rose of Paestum or Rose of Venus. The fruit of a rare cross between rose plants and the brambles, it was famous throughout the ancient world for its delicate essence, color and multiple uses.

the ideal balance Climate
Cool summers and balanced seasons make up the favorable climate for growing grapes. Ideal conditions that have made these lands welcoming and fertile for millennia.
